W fienew , Catherine Thompson (Cathy) retired from her position as Secretary I of the City of
Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety on August 27, 2009, after twenty -one years of faithful and
dedicated service; and
W hefteao , Cathy was hired by the City as Secretary I in August of 1988; and
W Renew , the City Council and staff are appreciative of the dependable, professional work
performed by Cathy; her gentle spirit and caring heart have left an indelible mark on both staff and
members of the community, and
W heltew , Cathy impressed us with her steadfast dedication to her commitment to swim at least
three days a week regardless of the weather; and
W funew , over the years Cathy developed outstanding skills which contributed to the welfare and
smooth operations of the Rohnert Park Public Safety records division and provided excellent service
to our community.

expresses its gratitude and appreciation to Catherine Thompson on the occasion of her retirement and
acknowledges her efforts in making Rohnert Park a better place to live. May her retirement provide
her with many opportunities to express her love for gardening - especially growing orchids — her love
for her precious beagles, and her love and support of her nephews' sports activities.
