Mayor Stafford called this meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

City Manager Gonzalez provided introductory comments on this item.
A. Recognition of Public Safety Volunteers by Director of Public Safety Masterson.
Mayor Stafford presented certificates to Kathy VanderVennet and Bruce Desimone.
Chief Masterson will present the certificates to volunteers unable to attend this meeting to
Mary Thayer, Barry Comerford and Jay Jones.

Building Standards Code; Introduction of Ordinance Repealing Rohnert Park Municipal Code Title
14, Sustainability; and Adoption of Resolutions (1) Setting a Public Hearing for same, and (2)
Repealing Previously Adopted Rohnert Park Green Building Standards and Guidelines

formerly Home Builders Association (HBA), with reference to several. letters
provided to Council at the dais on this item.

1. No. 829 Adopting the 2010 California Building Standards Code by Reference,
Amending Chapter 15.04 (General Provisions and Penalties), Chapter 15.08
(Building Code), Chapter 15.16 (Electrical Code), Chapter 15.20 (Plumbing
Code), and Chapter 15.24 (Mechanical Code) of Title 15, and Adding
Chapter 15.10 (Residential Code), Chapter 15.22 (Energy Code), and
Chapter 15.26 (Green Building Standards Code) to Title 15, "Buildings and
Construction," of the Rohnert Park Municipal Code

last week of December 2010 as recommended by the City Manager

1. Vice Mayor Belforte reported on the success of the recent Economic Summit at
Sonoma State University.

Sonoma State University; Senior Center's successful Halloween Show; and Chamber
of Commerce Noon Times meeting last week.
11. COMMUNICATIONS
Mayor Stafford called attention to an article in the recent North Bay Business Journal
regarding the opportunity of the Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster's invitation to investors.

13. PUBLIC COMMENTS — None
Council Member Callinan recused himself from discussion of the closed session item scheduled
next on the agenda and left the meeting at 5:50 p.m.

Mayor Stafford recessed the meeting to closed session at 5:50 p.m. to consider:
