2011/06/14 City Council Resolution 2011-46RESOLUTION NO. 2011-46 A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park Honoring JUDY HAUFF on the occasion of her retirement WHEREAS, Judy began her career as a P/T Secretary with the City on February 27, 1989 and by August 16th, was hired full time. She was reclassified to Deputy City Clerk in 2000 and promoted to City Clerk April 16, 2004; and WHEREAS, she is a Certified Municipal Clerk (CIVIC) by the International Institute of Municipal City Clerks and a Certified City Clerk in the.State of California. She was awarded training scholarships in 2007 and 2008 from the Northern California City Clerks' Association and the City Clerks' Association of California; and WHEREAS, Judy and her late husband, Robert (Bob), were founders and directors of the Henry Boys Ranch in Nebraska. They have helped many kids over the years. Judy is one of those special people who makes a positive difference in other people's lives; and WHEREAS, she and Bob enjoyed 42 years of marriage and raised 3 sons: Eddy, Dave, and Dennis. Her office showcased Bob's paintings and many photos of their kids and grandkids. WHEREAS, Judy loves swimming, relaxing in the hot tub, and spending time with her family and friends, which includes Mickey, her dog (although Mickey sees himself as one of the people). WHEREAS, Judy epitomizes the dedicated public employee. She's been the City's primary Notary, Elections Official, Custodian of the City's records, and has worked closely with City Managers, City Attorneys, City Councils, Department Heads, outside agencies, employees, the public, and the press; and WHEREAS, we could always .count on Judy being organized, ensuring legal compliance, being a team player, attending to all the details, responding to Public Records Act Requests and subpoenas, preparing agendas, minutes, resolutions, ordinances, and agreements. She was here when we did content minutes rather than action minutes — which took hours to transcribe, She's put her excellent shorthand, typing, and computer skills to good use over the years. Looking at all the bound City Council Resolution and Minutes books in our hallway, one could say that Judy has written and published a great deal of work over the course of her career. Now, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLvEV that the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park extends its gratitude to Judy Hauff for her exceptional service. It has been wonderful working with such a competent and caring individual; she will be missed. Duly and Regularly Adopted this 14th day of June, 2011 City of Rohnert Park
