1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Vice Mayor Stafford called the City CounciIlRPF A joint regular meeting to order at 5:00 pm, the notice for
which being legally noticed on July 5, 2012.
Present:
Pam Stafford, Vice Mayor
Amy Ahanotu, Council Member
Gina Belforte, Council Member
Joseph T. Callinan, Council Member
Absent:
Jake Mackenzie, Mayor
Staff present: Acting City Manager/Director of Public Safety Masterson, Assistant City Attorney
Barnhill, City Clerk Currie, Public Safety Officer Bates, Management Analyst Tacata, and Director of
Development Services/City Engineer Jenkins.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Led by Acting City Manager/Director of Public Safety Masterson.
3. PRESENTATION
A. Honoring Viper (K-9 Unit) on the Occasion of his Retirement from the Department of Public
Safety
Vice Mayor Stafford read and presented the Proclamation. Public Safety Officer Bates and Viper
received the Proclamation.
4. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Joe Ripple provided information about the Construction Coalition.

ACTION:
Moved/seconded (Cal1inan/Belforte) and carried 4-0-1 (Mackenzie absent) to
approve the Consent Calendar.
6. REVIEW OF PROPOSED NEW FEES AND ADMINISTRATIVE CORRECTIONS TO
BUILDING PLAN CHECK AND INSPECTION FEE SCHEDULE AND PLANNING FEE
SCHEDULE
Director of Development Services/City Engineer Jenkins introduced Deputy Chief Building Official
Doug L. Hughes.
Management Analyst Tacata presented the item. Recommended Action: Review and provide
direction on whether to proceed with proposed fee schedule changes by finalizing cost-of-services
analysis for fees that the Council wishes to consider at a meeting in August.
ACTION:
Council supports proceeding with proposed fee schedule changes by finalizing

Council Member Belforte reported on the progress made regarding the freeway sign and final
approval wil1 come before City Council.
2. Education Committee, 7/9 (PS/GB)
Vice Mayor Stafford reported on meeting with Sonoma State regarding the Green Music
Center opening.
B. Liaison Reports
I. Sonoma County Transportation Authority/Regional Climate Protection Authority,
(SCTA/RCPA), 7/9 (AA)
Council Member Ahanotu reported the construction on Wilfred A venue and the overpass
should be finished end of summer or early fall.
8. COMMUNICATIONS
Council Member Callinan reported the 50th Anniversary meeting is 5 pm 7/11/12 at the
Community Center.
