A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
Honoring and Thanking
CARRON L. McCLATCHEY
ON THE OCCASION OF HER RETIREMENT
FOR 22 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE IN THE CITY'S DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
WHEREAS, Carron McClatchey began her illustrious career with the City of Rohnert Park on December 1, 1988 and served the City as a Water
Monitoring Technician where she spent the initial years of her tenure defining the parameters of her new position. Carron was promoted to the
position of Water Quality Specialist on March 1, 2004, where she continued to uphold standards of excellence in water quality monitoring and cross -
connection control;
WHEREAS, over the years, Carron has proven to be a dedicated, conscientious and hard - working employee. Year after year and bottle after sampling
bottle later, she has successfully implemented the vital responsibility entrusted to her of ensuring that safe drinking water is distributed to the
residents of our community. A testament to this significant professional accomplishment can be found in the city -wide distribution of the Annual
Consumer Confidence Report. Over the years, Carron has successfully developed and maintained an excellent working relationship with the California
Department of Public Health and has also worked tirelessly and painstakingly to develop customized database systems for the City's Water Quality
Monitoring and Cross - Connection Control Programs;
WHEREAS, staff remembers Carron for her caring and compassionate heart. Her strength of character has manifested itself in a myriad of ways both
professionally and personally. In spite of the jagged personal mountains that she has had to climb over the years, Carron always found room in her
heart to embrace the needs of her co- workers when times got tough...always ready with a kind word of support or encouragement. She is regarded by
Public Works staff as a sister to all. Carron was always known to be the first to volunteer for committees and was involved in nearly every Public
Works' social event. The reflection of Carron's strength of character will reverberate in the Public Works Department for years to come and will serve
as a valuable reminder that resiliency and determination builds the internal fortitude and grace that she exemplifies; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the members of the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park extend their gratitude and raise their water
glasses to Carron L. McClatchey for her exceptional and dedicated service to the City and wish her continued success in her future endeavors.
