A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park
Thanking and Honoring
MARGHERITA K. HEAD

For her Thirty years as an Employee of the City of Rohnert Park
Whereas, Margherita K. Head began her career with the City of Rohnert Park as a Dispatcher /Clerk in Department of Public Safety on
November 21, 1976; from there she became the Secretary in the Youth and Family Services Division of Public Safety; while there, she
returned to college and earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Staff remembers her as the "glue" that held them together, a good
and loyal friend and team player; and
Whereas, the next stop in her career was the Public Works Department where she stayed until her retirement July 3, 2007; Public Works'
staff remembers her ability to remain calm in virtually any situation. She was known for her ability to keep staff honest with their absence

reporting and had mastered the fine art of manipulating staff behavior by controlling both the amount and type of candy that was placed in

the bowl on her desk. Margherita also single- handedly reduced the effects of global warming by keeping the Public Works office at a mean
temperature of 60 degrees Fahrenheit year - round; and

Whereas, Council, staff, and many citizens can attest to Margherita's professionalism and work ethic in providing services to this City.

Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City of Rolulert Park that it recognizes Margherita K. Head and extends its

gratitude to her for her many years of service. Council also wishes her many great years of retirement with her three grandchildren.
