A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT NUMBER TWO TO THE MEMORANDUM OF
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK AND THE SERVICE
EMPLOYEES INTERNATION UNION (SEIU) LOCAL 707
WHEREAS, The current Memorandum of Understanding between the City of
Rohnert Park and SEIU requires the City to take the following action: In recognition of
the value to the City of highly qualified employees, the City agrees to establish a
schedule of stipends for employees that obtain certificates and licenses by July 1, 2005.
The City and SETT will meet and confer regarding this schedule, the amount of the
stipends, and the relationship of obtaining certificates and licenses to promotional
opportunities in the Department of Public Works, and
WHEREAS, City Management has met and conferred with SEIU and proposes
the following stipend:
• Lead Worker Stipend: effective July 1, 2006 = 0.5% of salary, July 1, 2007 =
2.1 % of salary
• Sr. Lead Worker Stipend: effective July 1, 200X= 2.0°% of salary, July 1, 2007
5.0% of salary �, ....
WHEREAS, the stipends meet the City's operationa needs and are based on the
schedule in Attachment A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Rohnert Park City Council that
Amendment Number Two of the Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Rohnert
Park and the Service Employees International Union Local 707 is approved and the City
Manager is authorized to prepare the necessary documents to execute this amendment
and to make future adjustments to certifications /licenses included in the stipends to
account for state and federal regulatory requirements.

The certifications and licenses listed below are general descriptions. Some
certifications provided by trade groups may not meet minimum City standards and will
not be counted as a valid certification. Final determination of applicable licenses and
certifications shall be made by the City Manager or his /her designee.
