A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
Honoring and Recognizing
JOHN GARRETON
PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICER
On the Occasion of his Retirement
WHEREAS, John Garretson is retiring after 26 years of outstanding service to the Department of Public Safety; and 11P.
WHEREAS, the City Council, staff, and many in our community are appreciative of the dependable, highly professional work
performed by John and at this time, Council wishes to emphasize his reputation as a dedicated, devoted employee; and
WHET FINS, Officer Garretson has served in many areas of Public Safety operations including Patrol, Investigations, Fire
Suppression, and Fire Prevention; and fi
WHEREAS, during his work as a Fire Engineer, John became proficient in the area of wild -land firefighting techniques and
:served as a member of the Mutual Aid Strike Team (MAST); and
H,EREAS, Officer Garretson also served as a Firearms Instructor, Taser Instructor, and Armory Officer; and, while assigned
to Patrol, Officer Garretson was a Field Training Officer (FTO) and Acting Shift Supervisor.
NOS', THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park extends its best wishes to Public
Safety Officer John Garretson and publicly honors him for his diverse contributions to the well being of this City.
DULY AND REGULARLY PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Rohnert Park City Council this 11th day of July' 2006.
