A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW BACKHOE
LOADER FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS - WATER DIVISION
WHEREAS, the City of Rohnert Park Municipal Code Title 3 Chapter 3.04 provides that
the City's purchasing functions shall be governed by the City's purchasing policy, and;
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works - Water Division, has budgeted $133,000
in fiscal year 2013/2014 for the purchase of one (1) backhoe loader, and:
WHEREAS, per City Ordinance No. 843 and Resolution No. 2012 -22, the new backhoe
loader is available for purchase from Pape' Machinery, Inc., Rohnert Park, CA in the amount of
$116,414.50 through a Cooperative Purchase Agreement with the State of California Multiple
Award Schedule, Contract No. 4- 08- 23- 0022A, and;
WHEREAS, the City Council considered this Resolution at its duly noticed regular
meeting on December 10, 2013 along with the staff report and public comment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert
Park that it does hereby authorize and approve the purchase of the new backhoe loader from
Pape Machinery, Rohnert Park, CA, for the amount of $116,414.50; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to take all actions necessary to effectuate this purchase, including the execution of documents
pertaining to the same for and on behalf of the City of Rohnert Park.
