The agreements compensate employees at levels that the city can afford while reforming retiree medical and obtaining cost containment on medical premiums. These agreements also give employees more control over their retiree medical savings. I think all of us wish we could do more for our employees but we have to live within our means and these agreements help us do that. Once again our employees worked with us to address major financial issues in our city. We are reminded of what a truly special group of people we have working here in Rohnert Park."
