Expressing Mayor Hollingsworth and all Councilmembers expressed
Appreciation to appreciation to Councilman Cochran for his fine service and
Charlie Cochran dedication rendered to the City during the past four years as
a Councilman, of which a part was as Vice Mayor and Mayor. It
was pointed out that his very effective ability to comprehend
technicalities of the law had been a tremendous asset to the

Call to ceder
Mayor Hollingsworth called the adjourned regular session to
order at approximately 7:07 p.m. and led the pledge of
allegiance.
Roll Call
Present: (5) Councilmembers Eck, Cochran, Hopkins, Spiro
and Mayor Hollingsworth
Absent: (0) None
Staff present for all or part of the meeting: Acting City
Manager Netter, City Attorney Flitner, Planning Director
Skanchy, City Engineer Brust, Assistant to the City Manager
Leivo, and Director of Recreation Pekkain.
City Merger
Mayor Hollingsworth acknowledged that this was the first
official City Council meeting with Joseph D. Netter as the new
City Manager. He said the recent retirement party for
outgoing City Manager Peter M. Callinan was a great success.
He also said that consideration should be given during
tonight's meeting to authorize the purchase of the new City
Manager's car since Mr. Callinan exercised his option to
purchase the car he was assigned. City Attorney Flitner
confirmed Council could proceed with this authorization
without declaring an emergency item.
A motion was made by Councilman Hopkins, seconded by
Councilmember Spiro, and unanimously approved, to authorize
the purchase of a new automobile for the new City Manager.

A RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULTS OF CONSOLIDATION GENERAL
90-277
ELECTION AND "ICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF ROHNERT
PARK ON NOVEWER 6, 1990
Acting City Manager Netter explained the resolution.
Upon motion by Councilman Cochran, seconded by Councilman
Hopkins, and unanimously approved, reading of Resolution No.
90 -277 was waived and said resolution was adopted.

a Councilman, of which a part was as Vice Mayor and Mayor. It

Council during the past year of many items involving
litigation. Councilman Cochran's wife and stepson were
introduced. Mayor Hollingsworth presented a desk pen set to
Councilman Cochran as a gift of appreciation from the City.
Councilman Cochran shared a few memories of his four year on
the Council, extended compliments to each Councilmember,
expressed appreciation for the efforts of City staff, and
congratulated Councilman Elect Reilly.
Introducticns Mayor Hollingsworth introduced various people in the audience
including Councilmembers' spouses and children and recent
Council candidates Harvey Bell and Jerry Kohler.
Councilman Elect Reilly was introduced with his wife and
children and expressed appreciation to his supporters for
efforts in the recent election.
Oath of Office Deputy City Clerk Judy Hauff administered the Oath of Office
to Counci lrren Elect Arthur F. Hollingsworth, Jr.
James J. Reilly, Jr.
Reflecticns Mayor Hollingsworth reflected on the accomplishments of the
City and community during his term as Mayor.
Mayor Pro-Teipore Upon motion by Mayor Hollingsworth, seconded by Councilman
Hopkins, and unanimously approved, Councilrrember Spiro was
elected to serve as Mayor Pro-Tempore (Vice Mayor).
Mayor Upon =tion by Councilmember Spiro, seconded by Councilman
Hopkins, and unanimously approved, Councilman Eck was
elected as Mayor.
Mayor Eck expressed appreciation to outgoing Mayor
Hollingsworth and presented him with a mantel clock as an
expression of appreciation from the City for his service
as Mayor. Mayor Eck welcomed Councilman Reilly to the Council
and reviewed upcoming challenges that the Council will need to
deal with during the upcoming year.
Adjourrzwnt There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
approxirmtely 7:45 p.m. to refreshments.
