to drilling wells in the area to provide water
to Petal.uma:on an interim basis. The Council
indicated some guidelines that City Manager

officials to have them reconsider their
action. The Council indicated that it would
consider constructing the wells provided that
the County advanced the funds for same and
also provided that Petaluma would pay its
present County water rate for the water, with
the profit on the water sales to Petaluma
(i.e. the difference between the County water
rate paid by Petaluma and the cost to produce
the water from the new wells) being used to
reduce the eventual purchase price of the
wells to Rohnert Park.
