1976/04/21 City Council MinutesROHINTERT PARK CITY COUNCIL MINUTES April 21, 1976 The City Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in adjourned regular session commencing at approximately 3:00 p.m. in the City Offices, 6750 Commerce Boulevard, Rohnert Park, with Vice -Mayor Beary presiding. Call to Order Vice -Mayor Beary called the meeting of the adjourned regular session to order at approximatley 3:00 p.m. Roll CAll Present: (3) Councilmen Hopkins, Roberts and Beary Absent: (2) Councilmen Eck and Flores Staff present for all or part of the meeting: City Manager Callinan, Asst. to the City Manager Ablright, City Engineer/ Director of Public Works Drust, Director of Public Safety Dennett, Director of Parks and Recreation Pekkain, Adminis- trative Assistant Noblin, Recreation Student Intern Dunlap, Others present: The Honorable Congressman Clausen and his local representative Gordon Tippit, Supt. of Cotati- Rohnert Park School District Davidson, press correspondents Mike McCoy of the Press Democrat and Jud Snyder of the Rohnert Park- Cotati Clarion, also, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bailey residents of Rohnert Park. Meeting with A wide variety of topics were discussed between the Council; Congressman Clausen/ Congressman Clausen, and the various individuals present. City Council Included were discussions of O.S.H.A., tax law, revision of return form, Federal aid to education, minimum wage law, aid on veterans memorial, Warm Springs Dam outlook, . Economic Development funding outlook, Revenue Sharing re- enactment prospects, Public Works bill prospects, status of proposal to require unemployment insurance participation by cities, outlook of the Social Security program and its plight, block grants, and whether the City has a public transportation system in the local area. At the conclusion of the meeting, and upon Congressman Clausen °s inquiry, the Council expressed that of utmost priority to the City was the completion of the clover- leaf interchange on U.S. 101 Freeway. The Council expressed gratitude to Congressman Clausen for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with it.
