The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in
adjourned regular session commencing at approximately
7000 p.m. in the City Offices, 6750 Commerce Blvd., Rohnert
Park.

The purpose of the meeting was to have a joint Cotati- Rohnert
Park City Council meeting concerning dispatching costs
and sewer service. .
Dispatchin.g.Costs Cotati Councilmen Dunham and Piotrkowski discussed with the
Rohnert Park Council members present the dispatching service
arrangement that exists between the two cities and the
Rohnert Park proposal to increase the charge to Cotati to
$1,500 a month effective May 1, 1975.
City Manager Callinan presented a staff report which con-
tained estimated costs of operating the dispatch center,
recent statistical survey taken by the dispatch center of
usage, and report from Acting Director Holmes concerning
other services provided to Cotati by the Department of
Public Safety but which are not billed. During the dis-
cussion the Rohnert Park Councilmen indicated that they
would not object to having the new rate become effective
July lst rather than May 1st. The discussion that took place
was wide - ranging. Upon conclusion of the discussion it was
generally agreed that the Cotati Council would take the
matter under advisement and respond within a week or two to
Rohnert Park.
The work session on dispatching service adjourned at
approximately 8010 p.m.

A discussion was then commenced concerning sewer service
with Cotati Councilmen Allen Stansbury, Donna Piotrkowski
representing the City of Cotati and the same Councilmen
as noted above representing Rohnert Park. Also participa°
ting in the discussion on sewer service were Rohnert Park
City Engineer Roland Brust and Cotati °s Consulting Engineer
Paul Schoch.
"Discussion was held concerning the financing of the intercep-
tor to the Laguna Plant, the wastewater treatment plant
modifications required at the Rohnert Park plant, billings
received from the City of Santa Rosa for the Laguna Plant
and maintenance and operation costs and methods for
determining the sharing of same, and past sewer service
billing to Cotati'. ,City Engineer Brust presented a
schedule which indicated the estimated financial requirement
for 1975 --76. The discussion was wide- ranging in scope and
covered many aspects of the sewer contract between the two
cities.
Upon conclusion of the discussion it was generally agreed
that the two engineers and City Manager Callinan should
proceed with the drafting of a proposed new agreement
between the cities which agreement would incorporate
responses to many of the items discussed.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned
at 9°30 p.m. to June 30th, 1975 at 7 :00 p.m.
