A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
APPROVING THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE INTERCEPTOR OUTFALL
GRAVITY SECTION REHABILITATION PROJECT NO. 2011 -04 AND DIRECTING
THE CITY ENGINEER TO FILE
WHEREAS, on July 22, 2014, the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park adopted
Resolution 2014 -084, approving the plans and specifications for the Interceptor Outfall Gravity
Section Rehabilitation Project No. 2011 -04, Awarding the Contract to Michels Corporation in the
amount of $229,565.00 and Finding Such Action Exempt from CEQA; and
WHEREAS, the work generally consisted of lining the terminal 2,300 feet of the City's
24 -inch outfall pipeline just upstream of the Laguna Treatment Plant; and
WHEREAS, all work has been completed in accordance with the contract; and the
punch -list items have been completed and signed off by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the final contract value of $230,693.00 (an 0.5% increase) is within the City
Manager's authority to approve and has been approved by City Manager; and
WHEREAS, filing the Notice of Completion is the final step in the City's process to
accept ownership of the project and release retention funds to the contractor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert
Park hereby approves the Notice of Completion for the Interceptor Outfall Gravity Section
Rehabilitation Project No. 2011 -04 in substantially similar form to Exhibit A, which is attached to
this Resolution and incorporated by this reference.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed
to file the Notice of Completion and to execute documents pertaining to the same for and on
behalf of the City of Rohnert Park.

I, Mary Grace Pawson, City Engineer of the City of Rohnert Park, California, do hereby
certify that the work and improvements hereinafter described were completed to my satisfaction on
December 15, 2014 in accordance with the contract entered into by and between the City of
Rohnert Park and Michels Corporation dated July 22, 2014 pursuant to Council Resolution 2014-
084.
That said work and improvements generally consisted of lining the terminal 2,300 feet of
the City's 24 -inch outfall pipeline just upstream of the Laguna Treatment Plant, as more
particularly described in the plans and specifications approved by the City Council of the City of
Rohnert Park on July 22, 2014.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City of Rohnert Park, owner, a municipal
corporation located in Sonoma County, State of California, with its principal offices at City Hall,
130 Avram Avenue, Rohnert Park, California 94928 of the following:
That I, Mary Grace Pawson, City Engineer of the City of Rohnert Park, California on the
15t" day of December, 2014, did file with the City Clerk of the City of Rohnert Park, my
Certificate of Completion of the following described work, the contract for doing which was
heretofore awarded to Michels Corporation on July 22, 2014 pursuant to Resolution 2014 -084, in
accordance with the plans and specifications for said work filed with the City Clerk and approved
by the Rohnert Park City Council.
That said work and improvements were completed on December 15, 2014, and that the
name of the surety on the contractor's bond for labor and materials on said project is Continental
Casualty Company /Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
That said work and improvements generally consisted of lining the terminal 2,300 feet of
the City's 24 -inch outfall pipeline just upstream of the Laguna Treatment Plant as more
particularly described in the plans and specifications for the Interceptor Outfall Gravity Section
Rehabilitation Project No. 2011 -04 approved by the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park on
July 22, 2014.
