September 3, 1964
The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this
date in Special Session at 7 :30 P.M. at the City
Offices, 435 Southwest Blvd., Rohnert Park with
Mayor Buchanan presiding.
Roll Call Present: (5) Mayor Buchanan, Councilmen Pezonella,
and Co Smith.
Absent: (2) Councilmen Rogers and V. Smith
Councilman V. Smith arrived at 8 :30 P.M. Time of
arrival is noted further in the minutes.
Resolution #189 Resolution No. 189 - A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE
AMOUNT OF MONEY NECESSARY TO RAISE FROM PROPERTY
TAXES TO SUPPORT THE CITY_DEPARTMENTS AND PAY THE
.INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1964-
1965, in the amount of $43,865. Motion was made by
Councilman Pezonella: Councilman. Co Smith seconded
the motion but requested that the minutes show that
he prefaced his second with the hope that the Council
can look .forward to no more tax increases next year.

by Councilman C. :smith, seconded by Councilman
Pezonella, Resolution No.. 190 was unanimously
adopted
Resolution #191 Resolution No. 191 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING DEPORT
TO DIVISION OF HIGHWAYS OF EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS
DURING FISCAL YEAR 1963 -1964 PURSUANT TO SECTIONS
186.1 THROUGH 18607 OF THE COLLIER UNRUHN LOCAL
TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT. Upon motion by
Councilman Pezonella, seconded by Councilman Co
,Smith, Resolution-No. 191 was unanimously adopted.
Ordinance No,. 48 Ordinance No. 48 - AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE RE
QUIREMENTS OF SECTION 13522 OF THE PENAL CODE RELATING
TO TRAINING OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. Upon motion
by Councilman C Smith, seconded by Councilman
Pezonella, Ordinance -Noo 48 was introduced by the
following vote: AYES: (3) Councilmen Pezonella,
C. Smith and Mayor Buchanan. NOES: (0) ABSENT:
(2) Councilmen Rogers, and V. Smith.
Audit Report City Manager Callinan informed the Council that the
Audit Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1964
has been.received and a copy of the report submitted
to each member of the Council. He further advised
the Council that the approval and acceptance of the

report will be scheduled for a later meeting after
the Councilmen have had a chance to read and study
the report.
Upon motion by Councilman Pezonella, seconded by
Councilman C. Smith and unanimously approved, the
bills submitted on August 17, 1964 were approved
for payment as submitted.
Upon motion by Councilman Pezonella, seconded by
Councilman Co Smith, and unanimously approve, a
fee of $15 per meeting was authorized for Mr. Nore
Thiesfeld as Plarn.ang Consultant for Zoning Ors - finance
work sessions.
A joint work session of the City Council and the
Planning Commission was set for September 16, 1964
to, consider the proposed zoning ordinance.
Upon motion by Councilman Co Smith, seconded by
Councilman Pezonella and unanimously approved, a
list of the bills to be submitted for approval
shall be mailed to the members of the Council on
each Thursday or Friday preceding the regular
Monday meeting "at which they will be considered
for approval.
Councilman Pezonella advised the Council that the
Ro- Pen -Cox Opttmist Club was requesting a use permit
..to sell Christmas trees on Bart Mitchell's lot at
the - entrance to the Park. The matter was referred
to the Planning Commission.
Councilman V. Smith arrived at this time. 8.30 P.M.
Councilman C. Smith requested that City Manager
Callinan submit a monthly budget compctir L I report
to the Council. City Manager Callinan advised the
Council that such a report is being prepared and
will be prepared each month for the Council.
City Manager's City Manager Callinan advised the Council that he
Report was trying -to obtain the following services for
Rohnert Park. Mobile Blood Bank, TB X -Ray Unit and
Rabies Clinic.
Adjournment There being no further business, the meeting was
adjourned at 8.35 P.M.
