A letter request was received from Hugh Sheehan, '7523. Blair Ave., to permit the Walnut Creek - Savings and Loan Assn. to deed approximately two feet of property,.for the length of the property, from Lot No. 1 to Lot No. 2 to allow the eaves on his house to be on his own property. Upon motion by Councilman V. Smith, seconded by Councilman C. Smith and unanimously approved, the Council approved the minor lot revision. City Manager Callinan was instructed to authorize a staff study to make sure that the new lots would be acceptable and to write to Walnut Creek Savings and Loan expressing Council approval so that they,can deed two feet of land from Lot 1 Sub 5 -B to Lot 2 Sub 5 -B. _ Supervisor Mayor Buchanan introduced two guests, Mr. Leigh Shoemaker, Sonoma Shoemaker County Supervisor, and Mr. Don Head, Sonoma.County Road Depart„ Mr. Heads County ment. Road'Dept..,, Supervisor Shoemaker discussed, briefly,•:the Countyts position on the Sonoma State Ebcpressway and then introduced Mr. Head. Mr. Head discussed with the Council the County plans for the development 'of _.- access roads to Sonoma,StateCollege, and specifies cally the Sonoma - State „Expressway.,,.. -Mry Head:.discussed methods - of financing,`priorities, and ultimate plans. Mr. Head suggested that the City.take.immediate steps.to.begin.proceedings for a railroad..grade crossing for the, expressway....He stated that his office would prepare the application and work closely with the City in'securing the necessary P,:U.C.: approval for the grade crossing. Library Service General discussion was held with Supervisor Shoemaker regarding library service for,the City of Rohnert Park. City Manager Caallinan will pursue the matter of available space further with the County. Smith and unanimously approved', City Manager Callinan was Authorized to attend the City Manager`s Department Meeting in, Sacramefito February' 17 -r19, 1965; ' 1915 Act Bond City Manage= Callinan requested that�the City advance additional Redemption Fund money to the County for the 1915 Act Bond Redemption funds. He advised the-Council that all but' $4Q6`of the previous advance = had been repaid to the City. Mr„ Callinan `was requested to write`to Mr: Niarshall expressing' willingness to discuss'the'matter' provided` -that the Citizen's group has the endorsement of the Cotati City Council.. Cit,y. Atto _ Reort Foreclosures City Attorney Maxwell advised the Council that payments have been coming in on the foreclosures and that he is presently Page 5 18 January 1965 working with the County Counsel's office regarding the acceptance of partial payments. Hardin Suit City Attorney Maxwell advised the Council that Mr. Hardin had obtained the services of another Attorney and the matter was again in the Court.
