Subdivision 10-B City Manager Callinan reviewed his memo dated March 26, 1965
concerning the acceptance of Subdivision 10 -B. Mr. Callinan ad-
vised the Council that Mr. Spivock was willing to put up a cash
bond of $300 to cover the cost of the repairs to the streets, and
was requesting that the City notify- the-FHA-that the subdivision
was being accepted. Mr. Callinan felt that the FHA should also
be advised of the needed repairs and that the bash bond was pro-
vided to guarantee the making of the repairs.
Upon motion by Councilman C. Smith, seconded by Councilman V.
Smith and unanimously approved, City Manager Callinan was author-
ized to cooperate with Coral Homes and Young America Homes in
advising the FHA of the acceptance of Subdivision 1G-B. Mr.
Callinan will point out that it is the intention of the City to
approve the subdivision in question, after certain conditions,
for which a cash bond will be posted, are met.

The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in special
session at 7 :30 p.m. at the City Offices, 435 Southwest Blvd.,
Rohnert Park, with Vice -Mayor Rogers presiding.
Call to Order
Vice -Mayor Rogers called the meeting to order.
Roll Call
Present: (3) Councilmen Rogers, C. Smith, V. Smith.
Absent: (2) Mayor Buchanan, Councilman Pezonella.
Also present: City Manager Callinan and City Attorney Maxwell.
Sewer Plant
City Manager Callinan outlined the need for expanding the Sewer
Expansion
Plant, and the procedure that should be followed in applying for
a Federal Grant for this purpose. The,-amount requested would be
$78,100 of the necessary $3209400 for 'the sewer plant expansion.
Resolution #206
Resolution No. 206 - A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EX-
ECUTE AN APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL GRANT FOR SEWAGE TREATMENT
WORKS. Upon motioril-.by Councilman V. Smith, seconded by Council-
man C. Smith and unanimously approved,.'Resolution No. 206 was
adopted.
State Retire-
City Manager Callinan reviewed'his memo dated March 26, 1965 to

the City Council and the actuarial report received from the State
Employees' Retirement System. He'alsb outlined the necessary
procedure to obtain a contract for participation in the State
Retirement System.
Upon motion by Councilman V. Smith, seconded by Councilman C.
Smith and unanimously approved, City Manager Callinan was author.
ized to proceed with the necessary steps to obtain State Employ -
ees' Retirement Syst -em coverage for the City employees, excluding
elected officials, part time, recreation department, and hourly
employees.

Subdivision 18 -B
City Manager Callinan and Mr. Hudis presented the final map of

Subdivision 18 -B. Mr.Hudis certified that the map is correct.
Upon motion by Councilman C. Zmith, seconded by Councilman V.
Smith and unanimously approved, the final map of Subdivision 18 -B
was approved subject to compliance to the State Map Act; the City
Clerk was authorized to execute the map on behalf of the City
upon receipt of necessary bonds, fees, and agreements; Mr. Hudis
was authorized to execute the map F, City Engineer; and Mayor
Buchanan was authorized to execute the Subdivision Agreement on
behalf of the City.
Library
City Manager Callinan reported on'the background of the City's
attempts to get library facilities` in Rohnert Park. The Clerk
read a letter to Mrs* Callin&A,: date& March 26, 1965? from
Supervisor Shoemaker.: G. ^ral scussion followed. The Clerk
was asked to place the matter on the agenda for Monday, April 5,
1965.
State
City Manager Callinan posed the-problem of City Council action
Legislature
on proposed and pending?State legislation because of the time
element involved.
