1965/06/01 City Council MinutesROHNERT PARK CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 1 June 1965 The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in special session at 7:45 p.m. at the City Offices, 435 Southwest Blvd., Rohnert Park, with Vice -Mayor C. Smith presiding. Call to Order Vice -Mayor C. Smith called the meeting to order. Roll Call Present: (4) Vice -Mayor C. Smith, Councilmen Buchanan, Pezonella, V. Smith Absent: (1) Mayor Rogers. (Mayor Rogers arrived at 7:58 p.m. Arrival time is noted at the appropriate point in the minutes.) Also present: City Manager Callinan, City Attorney Maxwell, City Treasurer O'Neil, and Mr. C. Rains of Griffenhagen- Kroeger, Inc. Personnel City Manager Callinan discussed the current ranges and steps on each employee and the length of time in their present category. Mr. Rains discussed and explained the report prepared by Griffen- hagen-Kroeger, Inc. for the City. - - - - - Mayor Rogers arrived at 7:58 p.m. and assumed the Chair. Mr. Rains explained the problems of setting salaries for a small city, and described the method of arriving at the job classifica- tions used in the report. Mr. Rains commented on the small number of employees in Rohnert Park compared with cities of similar and smaller populations. General discussion on the report followed. However, no action was taken. Audit City Manager Callinan informed the Council of his discussions with various auditing firms in the area for the conducting of the audit for the year ended June 30, 1965- Mr. Callinan recommended that the firm of Fitzpatrick and Poulsen be retained. Upon motion by Councilman C. Smith, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and unanimously carried, the Council expressed approval of a three year agreement with the firm of Fitzpatrick and Poulsen to audit the City records. Adjournment There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:55 p.m. to reconvene in closed executive session for the purpose of discussing possible litigation. APPROVED: City Clerk Mayor
