1. The City must agree to build the bridge over
Copeland Creek.
2. The developers can withdraw if a certain contract
between Paul Golis and the Rohnert Park Industrial
Co. is not executed.
3. The City will assess ohly the land shown on the
map of the proposed development.
4. Mr. Golis agrees to provide a temporary crossing
over Hinebaugh Creek.
During the ensuing discussion the following points were
mentioned:

The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in
adjourned session at 8:00 p.m. at the City Offices, 435 Southwest
Blvd., Rohnert Park, with Mayor Rogers presiding.
Call to Order
Mayor Rogers called the meeting to order.
Roll Call
Present: (3) Councilmen Pezonella, C. Smith, Mayor Rogers
Absent: (2) Councilmen Buchanan, V. Smith.
Animal Control
City Manager Callinan discussed the proposed change in animal
control. Mr.. Callinan and.Public Safety Chief Koch recommended
that animal control be under the supervision of the Public Safety
Department instead of the current contract with the Humane
Society.' Mr. Callinan reviewed the - proposed budget under the
new system I as compared with the costs:(of the existing system.
Also participating in the discussion, in addition to the Council
were Mrs.'Richardson and Miss.Dixon from.the Humane Society,
Upon motion by Councilman Pezonella, seconded by Councilman
C. Smith and unanimously carried, City Manager Callinan was
authorized to advise the Humane Society of the termination of
the "contract by the City at the end of the required 90 day
notice period.
Upon motion by Councilman C. Smith, seconded by Councilman
Pezonella and unanimously Carried, City Manager Callinan was
authorized to negotiate with other agencies for the use of
animal holding and destroying facilities.
Commerce Blvd,
Mr. Paul Golis and Mr. Norman Spivock presented a petition for
the construction of Commerce Blvd,. A map was also submitted of
the proposed development of Commerce Blvd.
Mr. Golis and Mr. Spivock stated that they reserved the right to
withdraw the petition if certain conditions could not be met.
The conditions and stipulations are as follows:
1. The City must agree to build the bridge over

During the ensuing discussion the following points were

1. The construction cost, not including the bridges,
but - including sewer and water will be about
$225,000.
2. The cost of the two bridges will be about $54,000.
The' "developers would require water on the east
side •of Commerce Blvd. to south of the Sonoma
State Expressway.
T.he.engineering may hopefully,be'completed so the
project I can go to bid by August 169 1965. if the
CQuncilamoroves the project on August 16thl.,...the
hew ings can be set and bids opened for on Sept-
ember 20,
City.Manager Callinah was authdrized.to check on the amount of
the road":,- shown in the. plans .'which. actually belongs to-,,the_County
fnr the Expressway so that credit,,can be obtained for the port on
,that will be,build by the developers.

for Commerce Blvd. improvement Project 1965'3.
CATV Tour _City Manager.Callinan reminded the Council of the C.A.T.V. tour
schedule -d:for August 71, 1965 at 8•:00 a.m. Scheduled to
participate are Mayor Rogersi,councilme.n.:Pezonella, C. Smith,
V. Smith, City Attorney Ma:iwell and Superintendent of Public
Works, ,Wiggins.
Schools City,,..:Manag6t..Callinen.,announced that the meeting scheduled with

City Manager Callinan announced that the meeting scheduled with
Petaluma,967iool officials has been postponed to October 19, 1965*
