The Council of the_Gity of Rohnert Park met this date in
an adjourned session at 8:00 p.m. at the City Offices, 435
Southwest Blvd., Rahnert Park,.-with Mayor C. Smith presiding.
Mayor C. Smith called-the meeting to order and welcomed all
the guests a:t.tending: the. meeting;
Present: (0 Councilman Roberts, Rogers, V. Smith.and
Mayor .Smith
Absent: (1) Councilman Pezonella
.__ Staff Present: City Manager Callinan
Pool Rates A discussion was held concerning the pool rates for the
coming season. Upcxt motion by Councilman V. Smith, seconded
by Councilman Rogers and unanimously approved the swimming
pools rates for 1966 were set as follows:
$36.00 Family Season Membership
$15.00 Family Monthly Membership
$18.00 Single Season Membership
General Admission:
$.75 for 16 years and over
$.25 for 6 years to 15 years
Free for 5 and under
Upon motion by Councilman Rogers, seconded by Councilman
Roberts and unanimously approved the general admission rate
for persons 16 years to 21 years was changed from 75¢ to
50¢ and for persons over 21 years the general admission
rate was set at 750.
A discussion was held on establishing an hourly rate for the
use of the pools by clubs. No action was taken.
Letter to Board The City Manager presented the Council with a draft of a
Of Supervisors letter for possible presentation to the Board of Supervisors
regarding the lack of advance planning by the County in the
area of Rohnert Park and Sonoma State College.
Variance Mr. Till's request for a variance at 7658 Bernice Avenue to
Mr. Till construct a driveway after closing in the garage for a family
room was discussed with the Council and will be scheduled
for official action at the next regular meeting.
Expressway The City Manager gave the Council a verbal report on the
Progress status of the Sonoma State Expressway project.
Golf Course City Manager Callinan reported on his contacts with the
bankruptcy trustees relative to the Rohnert Park Golf Course.

He advised the Council that he was planning on meeting with
the trustees in Fresno to discuss the possibility of the City
taking over the golf course.
Sting Rays Mr: Jack Smuck requesteUthat the Sting Rays be allowed to
put7up'signs advertising their swim meet. The signs would
be put up Friday, May 27th and taken down Sunday night,
May.'29th. The Council 'expr'essed agreement with this request.
Adjournment There being no further,business the meeting was adjourned
