1967/11/16 City Council MinutesROHNERT PARK CITY COUNCIL.MINUTES November 16, 1967 The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in an adjourned session commencing at approximately 7:00 P.M. in the City Offices, 435 Southwest Blvd., Rohnert Park, with Mayor Pezonella presiding. Call 1L., Order Mayor Pezonella called the meeting to order. Roll Call Present: (5) Councilmen Roberts, Rogers, C.Smith V.Smith and Mayor Pezonella Absent: (0) None Staff present: City Manager Callinan, and City Attorney Maxwell CATV Presentation City Attorney Maxwell requested the record show that he has made known that he is attorney for one of the applicants, namely Total Television of Santa Rosa, Inc. and that because of this relationship he is unable to participate in any of the discussion. concerning 1 -phe applications for CATV franchise. A.presentation to the City Council was made by A. C. Stone, representing Storer Cable TV, Inc. A presentation was made to the City Council by J. Monroe, representing Total Television of, Rohnert Park. A presentation was made to the City Council by Mr.. E. A. Iacopi, representing Rohnert Park Cablevision Company. Upon conclusion of the presentations by the three applicant companies, a questions and answer period was held. Upon conclusion of the questions and answer period the Council decided to make a decision. City Manager Callinan commented briefly on the applications and re- affirmed his previous recom- mendation that the Council award a franchise to Total Television. Councilman C. Smith made a motion that the City staff be directed to prepare the necessary do- cuments to award a CATV franchise in Rohnert Park to Storer Cable TV, Inc. Said motion was seconded by Councilman Rogers and approved by the following roll call vote: A G,S: (5) Councilmen Roberts,Rogers,C.Smith, %.Smith and Mayor Pezonella NOES: (0) None. i; J" r The Council then indicated that it desired the amendments to the T + +. +irt o CATV franchise which were suggested in City Manager Callinan's memo dated November 1, 1967. City Attorney Maxwell was requested to prepare the necessary ordinance. Dneerning Annexa- Rohnert's lands The annexation has to the Sonoma Commission for City Manager Callinan reported on his discussions on the proposed annexation with County Adminis- trator Neal Smith, County staff member Larry Andrews, Cotati City Administrator Jessie Farrell, Cotati Engineer Robert Heid, Mr. Paul Golis representing Mr. Rohnert, and a Cotati City Councilman. Trip to Santa A brief discussion was held concerning the Barbara scheduled trip to Santa Barbara by Councilman Rogers, City Manager Callinan and Planner Tomilson to review college area planning. Entrance Road Councilman Rogers initiated a brief discussion From Cotati concerning the condition of the entrance road into Rohnert Park from Cotati.
