A RESOLUTION DIRECTING NOTICE OF SALE TO BE GIVEN OF CITY OF Call to Order Mayor Roberts called the meeting to order at approximately 8:15 p.m. Roll Call Present: (4) Councilmen Hopkins, Roberts, Rogers and Smith Absent: (1) Councilman Buchanan and unanimously approved, the reading of Resolution No. 68 -53 Staff Present: City Manager Callinan and Bond Counsel Rosettes Baton Councilman Smith initiated a discussion concerning a letter to Richard Raymond Sewer Revenue Bond Attorney Richard Raymond reviewed the sewer revenue bond Bonds program, Mr. &Mrs. Golis' offer to purchase the bonds, a proposed sewer revenue bond ordinance, and related resolutions. Resolution No. A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING OFFER TO BUY BONDS 68--52 Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Rogers, and unanimously approved, the reading of Resolution No. 68 -52 was waived, and said resolution was adopted. Resolution No. A RESOLUTION DIRECTING NOTICE OF SALE TO BE GIVEN OF CITY OF 68 -53 ROHNERT PARR. SERER REVENUE BONDS OF 1968, FIRST DIVISION, BONDS NUMBERED 115 to 120, INCLUSIVE, IN THE TOTAL PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $5,000.00. Upon motion by Councilman Rogers, seconded by Councilman Smith, and unanimously approved, the reading of Resolution No. 68 -53 was waived, and said resolution was adopted. Rosettes Baton Councilman Smith initiated a discussion concerning a letter to Twirlers the editor he had seen in The World newspaper from Mrs. Rose 4iggins concerning the Rosettes. Councilman Rogers, ex officio to the Recreation Commission, volunteered to look into the matter of having the City sponsor the Rosettes baton twirlers. Councilman Councilman Rogers left the meeting at this point, the time being Rogers Departs approximately 9:00 p.m. Engineer Councilman Smith initiated a discussion concerning the possibility Battalion of having an Army Reserve Engineering Battalion doing community improvement projects. B'Hai Procla - Mayor Roberts reported that he had been approached by B'Hai to mation May 29, 1968 Page - 2 issue a proclamation. After a brief discussion it was suggested that the Mayor not issue the proclamation since it related to a religious matter. Golf Course City Manager Callinan reported the difficulties being encountered in obtaining qualified personnel for the golf course. He reported that two individuals with experience would be willing to come to work for the City at the top pay setp in the Maintenance Man II position. Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Hopkins, and unanimously approved, the City Manager was authorized to hire golf course personnel up to the top pay scale of the Maintenance Man II position. A brief discussion was held concerning the status of the golf course improvement program and the installation of the irrigation improvements. Dissatisfaction with the pace of the irrigation improvements installation was expressed. Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Hopkins, and unanimously approved, the City Council recommended to Attorney Raymond that he write a letter on behalf of the City of Rohnert Park Golf Course Corporation to Fair Way Landscape Company indi- cating the City's displeasure with the slow pace that the irri- gation improvements are being installed. CATV A brief discussion was held concerning CATV and Storer °s contacts with the community of Cotati and their apparent problems in locating a site for their receiving station. Expressway A brief discussion was held concerning the dedication of the on -off ramps which was held this date. Sebastopol Mayor Roberts reported on the challenge that he had received Challenge from the City Council of the City of Sebastopol relative to a shooting match and a golf match between the Councils of these two cities. Bicycle Councilman Hopkins initiated a discussion concerning the need for Safety a better bicycle safety program which would encourage parents to enforce bicycle safety, have the Department of Public Safety issue news releases and possibly set up a bicycle traffic court similar to the one in Berkeley. Upon conclusion of the discussion the City Manager advised that he would have the Director of Public Safety Koch work up a program and follow up on the matter. Press City Manager Callinan was requested to set up a meeting for the Democrat Council with Art Volkerts and Dan Bowerman of the Press Democrat. Meeting with A brief discussion was held concerning the scheduled meeting of School Board the Cotati School Board and the City Council. The City Manager May 29, 1968 Page - 3 was authorized to invite the press to the meeting.
