The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in an adjourned
session at 8:00 p.m. at the City Office' 6950 Commerce Blvd., Rohnert
Park, with Mayor Callinan presiding. 11
Roll Call Present: (5) Mayor Callinan, Councilmen Bell, Buchanan, Foust and
Smith*
Absent: (0)
Approval of Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Bell, and
payment for unanimously approved, payment was authorized to Connie Harris for
substitute clerk wages for substituting for the City Clerk.
Future payroll Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell, and
approval unanimously approveds future payments for substitute employees will be
made on the regular pay date without approval of the Council, but a
report will be made to the Council of the substitution.
Sick leave Upon motion by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and
approved unanimously approved, the one day sick leave for the City Clerk was
approved.
Flooding of The City Clerk was authorized to write to the Sonoma County Flood
streets in _ Control notifying them of the flooding of streets in Rohnert Park due
Rohnert Park to the County not having cleaned out Copeland Creek.
Garbage contract The following firms were interviewed by the City Council for the
interviews garbage contracts. Sanitary Disposal Co. of Santa Rosa, Louis
Giovannini; Bunin Sanitary Garbage Co.' Mrs. Bunin and Alex Smirnoff;
Petaluma Sanitary_ Disposal, Mr. Calegari and Mr,-# Buttke; Rohnert Park
Disposal Co.$ Mr. Cochrane and Mr. Hover.
Wilson, Harzfeld Mr. Davis, of the firm of Wilson, Harzfeld, Jones and Morton, spoke to
Jones & Morton the City Council on the need to reword future project transactions to
representative include both the District and the City, until these projects have been
completed. Special reference was made to demands for payment on
projects 61 -4 and 61 -5 by Resolutions No. 14 and 15 approved by the
Council on September 18, 19620
Resolution #26 Upon motion by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Smith, and
reading waived unanimously approved, reading of Resolution No. 26 was waived.
Resolution #26 Resolution No. 26 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETED
Project 1961 -4 WORK FOR PAYMENT, Project 1961 -49 was unanimously adopted upon motion
by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Foust.
Resolution #27 Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Foust, and
reading waived unanimously approved, reading of Resolution No. 27 was waived.
Resolution #27 Resolution No. 27 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETED
Project 1961 -5 WORK FOR PAYMENT, Project 1961 -59 was unanimously adopted upon motion
by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell.
Garbage Contract Motion was made by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell, to
award the Garbage Contract to Bunin Sanitary Garbage Co. providing
they provide a new truck within a certain period of time. Motion
defeated by the following vote:
AYES:: (2) Bell, Smith NOES: (3) Buchanan, Foust, Callinan

Motion was made by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Foust,
to award the Garbage Contract to Sanitary Disposal Co. of Santa Rosa'
provided a new truck is used, commencing with the first i1n9 Motion
approved by the following vote:
AYES: (4) Buchanan, Foust, Smith, Callinan NOES: (1) Bell
Adjournment There being no further business, the meeting was then adjourned.
