The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in regular
session at 8 :00 p.m. at the City Office, 6950 Commerce Blvd., Rohnert
Park, with Mayor Callinan presiding.
Roll Call Present: (5) Mayor Callinan, Councilmen Bell, Buchanan, Foust and

Approval of Upon motion by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Smith, and
minutes unanimously approved, the minutes of September 24, 1962, were approved
as corrected..
Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell, and
unanimously approved, the minutes of September 27, 1962, were approved.
Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Foust' and
unanimously approved, the minutes of October 1, 19629 were approved
as corrected*
Upon motion by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Smith, and
unanimously approved, the minutes of October 29 19629 were approved

Commerce for expenses incurred by Councilman Smith during Rohnert

Approval of bills Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Bell$ and

Rohnert Park Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Foust' and
census unanimously approved, the Clerk was authorized to write to the State
Department of Finance thanking them for their letter and informing
them that the City would probably follow their suggestion for a
volunteer census and requesting information on the procedure to follow*
Planning Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and
Consultant unanimously approved, the Clerk was authorized to write to the Board of
Supervisors requesting a member of the Planning Commission be assigned
to serve as consultant to the City of Rohnert Park.

Garbage Agreement Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Foust$ and

Meeting with Van Mr. Ryan of the Fire Department confirmed the date for a meeting with

Proposed change Upon motion by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and
Unit B layout, \, unanimously approved, the proposed change in layout of Unit B,
requested by Marshall & Hudis, engineers, will be sent to the Planning
Commission for review and recommendation.
Request meetings Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Foust, and
with Sheriff, unanimously approved, a meeting with Sheriff Ellis will be requested

Rohnert Park.

Sewer meeting. Mr. Wiggins, Superintendent of Public Works, reported on the meeting
held in the Board of Supervisors Chambers regarding the Sonoma County
sewer study made by the Carleton Yoder firm. He reported that a
committee was to be appointed by the Board of Supervisors to hire a
financial expert to make a study of the Yoder report.
Flooding in Mr. Wiggins, Superintendent of Public Works, was authorized to contact
Subs 2 & 8-A ,`,; any people necessary to have the drainage problem corrected to prevent
a recurrance of the flooding in Subs 2 and 8 a-Ao
New Post Office Upon motion by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and
study requested unanimously approved, a letter will be written to the Postmaster General
requesting another look at the Post Office needs of Rohnert Park.
Name for R. P. Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Bell, and
Elementary school unanimously approved, the Citizens Advisory Commission was authorized
to suggest an appropriate name for the new Rohnert Park Elementary
School
Ambulance rates Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Foust, and
requested\ht unanimously approved, Mr. Girolo9 S.R. Ambulance Service, will be
asked to submit a list of rates customarily charged residents for
ambulance service.
Inspection and The City Council requested that Mr. Carpenter, City Engineer, draw up
Bldg. charges `' a list of charges for Building permits and Inspection fees.
Rec. Comm. The City Council authorized Mr. O'Neil, City Treasurer, to give the
budget n, Recreation Commission a copy of their budget for 1962 -63.
District business The City Council requested an opinion of Mr. Maxwell, City Attorney,
by City Council if the City Council can transact business for the District, or if
they must sit as the District Board of Directors.
