1962/10/30 City Council MinutesROHNERT PARK CITY COUNCIL, OCTOBER 30, 1962 The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in an adjourned session at 8 :00 p.m. at the City Office, 6950 Commerce Blvd., Rohnert Parks with Mayor Callinan presiding. Roll Call Present: (5) Mayor Callinan, Councilmen Bell, Buchanan, Foust and Smith. Temporary Secy, Mr, Wiggins, Superintendent of Public Works was appointed temporary Secretary* Bid Forms for Upon motion by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Bell, and Fire house unanimously approved, Mr. Wiggins, Superintendent of Public Works, was authorized to request Mr. Carpenter, City Engineer, to draw up bidable forms covering plans and specifications on the tentative fire house,.sai.d forms to be prepared for City Council approval on Monday, November 5, 1962. Fire Truck Upon motion by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Bell, and specification unanimously approved, a sub - committee win be appointed by Mayor study Callinan to make a study of fire truck specifications and make final recommendations to the City Council, Sub - committee The following sub - committee was appointed by Mayor Callinan to make for fire truck the study: Councilman Buchanan; Superintendent of Public Works, study Ce A. Wiggins; Fire Chief, Robert Ryan; Fireman, Larry Carr, and Assistant Chief of the Cotati Fire Department, Ralph McGinnis, Rohnert Park Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Foust, and maps unanimously approved, Mr. Wiggins, Superintendent of Public Works was instructed to contact the Rohnert Park Press in regards to a proposal by them to print 500 maps of the City of Rohnert Park, and to also get a firm quotation and a proof of same. Financing Fire upon motion. by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and House unanimously approved, Mr. Wiggins, Surintendent of Public Works was authorized to contact the Exchange Bank and explore possibilities of their financing the tentative fire house, and the purchase of the fire house site* Street parking Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Foust, and Ordinance requested unanimously approved, Mr, Wiggins, Superintendent of Public Works, was authorized to contact Mr, Maxwell, City Attorney, and make a request of him to prepare an3d Ordinance to regulate and prohibit parking large vehicles on City streets and request this be done prior to the City Council meeting November 5, 1962* Rating Bureau This was an adjourned meeting to discuss recommendations and representative specifications for future fire equipment with..Mr. Sam Hayes, Pacific not present ,! Fire Rating Bureau. Fora unknown reasons Mr* Hayes was absent* Due to Mr, Hayes absence, the matter was bemporarily tabled.
