Business license Mr. Maxwell$ City Attorney, was requested to have a rough draft of a
Business License Ordinance for the first meeting in January, so that if
the Council has reached a decisions the Ordinance can be introduced at that
time.
Proposal from Upon motion by Councilman Buchanant seconded by Councilman Smith, and
Wesco unanimously approvedt the Clerk was authorized to acknowledge the proposal
acknowledged from Wesco Divisions advise them that the proposal was satisfactoryl and
that the City was looking forward to receiving the Fire Truck.
Kire Dept Upon Notion by Councilman Buchanan$ seconded by Councilman Bells and
by-laws unaimously approved, the rough draft of the Fire Dept. by-law amendment
re member statust was acceptedo
Fire Dept® A discussion was held regarding Insurance coverage for members of the Fire
Insurance Department, Mr. Ryan, Fire Chief, was authorized to find out what type of
coverage other members of the Firemen's Association now have.
Erployee Upon motion by Councilman Bells seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and
holidays unanimously approveds City employees were given December 31st off and one-
half day off on December 24tho

unanimously approved, Mr, Maxwells City Attorneys was authorized to draft
a resolution requesting an increase in gas taxes as recommended by the
League of California Cities.
Mr. Maxwell and Mr. Carpenter were to =act - for any
lends annexed by the Citye
