The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in regular session
at 8:00 p.ma at the City Office, 6950 Commerce Blvd.9 Rohnert Park, with
Mayor Callinan presiding*

Airport
yon motion by Councilman Fouvh seconded by Councilman Smith, end
unanimously approved, the Clerk was requ4sted to obtain a copy of the
Fisher report from either the City of Santa Rosa2 or Sonoma County* The
Fisher report was a study of Airport facilities in Sonoma County.
The Clerk was requested to contact the California Aeronautics Division in
Sacramento to arrange a meeting between the City Council and a member of
their staff.
Administration
All City Commissions are being notified that administrative work will be
handled by the City Offices
Multiple-Use
Mr. Nicholson of the Sonoma County Planning Commission discussed the
Sub. No. 1 in
Multiple-Use Subdivision 11 with the city Council$ and recommended that
Ebris Court be approved as a through street to Southwest Blvd®
Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Beliv approval
was given for Boris Court to be a through street from Santa Barbara Drive
to Southwest Blvd* by the following vote:

Planning
Upon motion by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and
Commission
unanimously approved2 the Clerk was re Quested to write to the Planning
Commission informinS them that the City Council is against granting a
permit for a salvage yard on E. Cotati Ave. across from the College
dormitory.
Fire Dept.
Mr. Brooks and Mro stim son. of the Telephone Co. gave the Council inform-
ation on the Emergency reporting system used by many volunteer fire
departments, which can use up to 9 phonese A 22 week delay is being
quoted for installationo, 9 stations (without mileage) would cost $392
for installation and $57.20 per month service charge.
P. G. & E.
Mr. Frank Andersong Pacific Gas & Electric CO- informed the Council that
P.G.&E, has a tree planting service available and a model ordinance re-

garding tree planting. The service consists of advising the types of
trees to be planted in various areas. The Clerk was instructed to invite
Mr. Cushlidge, North Bay Division Farm Power Advisor, to meet with the
City Council on February 18, 1963, to discuss this subject.

Upon motion by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Buchanant and
unanimously approved, reading of Ordinance Teo® 19 was waived.

Animal Control

Resolution #50
Resolution No. 50 - A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POLICY OF CITY SERVICE FOR
CITY PEOPLE, was read and moved by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by
Councilman Smithq and unanimously approved.
Resolution 501
Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell, and
unanimously approved, reading of Resolution No- 51 was waived.
Resolution No. 51 - A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND DIRECTING ENGINEER
TO FILE NOTICE OF COMPLETION, PROJECT 1960-21 was adopted upon motion
by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell.
Resolution §52
Resolution No. 52 - A RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF
SONOKA FOR COLLECTION OF TAXES, was read and moved by Councilman Foust,
seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and unanimously approved.
Resolution 153
Resolution Leo® 53 A RESOLUTION RECOHMENDING LEGISLATION INCREASING
HIGHWAY USERS TAXES FOR COUNTY ROADO AND CITY STPEETS9 was read and
moved by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Smith, and
unanimously approved®
The Clerk was requested to send a copy of Resolution NOT 53 to Mr. Donald
Head, Sonoma County Road Commissioner.
Safety Building
Mr. Maxwellq City Attorney, was requested to discuss financinG of the
Safety Building with Mr. Ernie Wilson of Wilson$ Harzfeld, Jones & Morton.
Pay Area Transit
Upon Motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Foustq and
unanimously approved, a place on the agenda of the next Mayors and
Councilmen's meeting-will be requested to discuss better transit service
to the Bay Area from Martin and Sonoma Counties.
Street lights
Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Smith, and
unanimously approvedt P.G.&E. were authorized to install the proposed
street lights for Subdivisions 9, 10, 11, and 12 Be
Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Foust, and
unanimously approved, Mr- Wiggins, Supt. of Public Works, was authorized
to request a light at the Wilford cut off from the Calif. Div. of Highways.
Personnel
Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell, and
unanimously approved, Connie Harris was authorized to work in the City
office one day each month to maintain familiarity with City procedureso
Rate of pay will be $2.00 per hour® The Mayor and Clerk will arrange
which day Mrs. Harris is to work.

Recreation Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Foust, and
Commission unanimously approved, the following members were appointed to the
Recreation Commission: & Harrigang Chairman; D. Strawther, G. Eb-dress,
D. Davis and R. Rasmussnao

Mr. Wiggins, Superintendent of Public Works, was requested to find out
the progress of the Weed Abatement program.
The Clerk administered the Oath to Mr. Wiggins, Superintendent of Public
