Roll Call present: (5) Mayor Callinan, Councilmen Bell, Buchanan, Foust, Smith. Absent: (0) Payment of bills Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell, and dated May 6, 1963, were unanimously approved, bills per attached copy approved for payment except for the Noonan Agency. Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell, and unanimously approved, a further breakdown of the invoice from the Noonan Agency was requested® Minutes Upon motion by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and unanimously approved$ the minutes of April 11 1963 were approved. Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by councilman Foust, and unanimously approved, the minutes of April 15, 1,963 were approved. Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Smith, and unanimously approved, the minutes of April 17, 1963 were approved® Upon motion by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman Bell and unanimously approved, the minutes of April 22, 1963 were approved. Upon motion. by Councilman Smith, seconded by Councilman, Bell, and unanimously approved, the minutes of May 21 1963 were approved® Mayor In accordance with the system of rotating the office of May''annuallyt Mayor Callinan, outgoing Mayor, thanked the City Council for their cooperation during his term of office's and thanked everyone else for their help during this period® May 6, 1963 (cont) Ordinance #2,5 Upon motion by Councilman Callinan, seconded by Councilman Bell and unanimously approved, reading of Ordinance No® 25 was waived. Ordinance No. 25 - AN ORDINARCE PROHIBITING THE DUMPING, DISCARDDTG OR DESPOSITlNG OF MATERIALS UPON CITY STREETS AND PROVIDING PENALITIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF* upon motion by Councilman Callinan, seconded by Councilman Bell, was adopted by the following vote: AYES: (5) Smith, Bell$ Buchanan, Callinang-Foust NOES: (0) Absent: (0) Post Office Upon motion by Councilman Callina-nj seconded by Couicilman Foust, and unanimously approved, copies of letters from the Post Office Department will be sent to all business and the college with a letter requesting that they take advantage of the postal facilities now available in Rohnert Park® A letter will be written to the Post Office Department requesting that Postal Service be extended to include the Northern part of Rohnert Park in the same coverage given the residential areas® Fire Equipment Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Foust, and unanimously approved, Fire Department equipment purchase orders were approved® Planning Upon motion by Councilman Callinan$ seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and unanimously approved, the Planning Commission will be asked for an opinion and recommendations regarding the proposed golf course, because eventually this area will become a part of the City. Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded. by Councilman Foust, and unanimously approvedg a copy of Mr. Golis' letter regarding streets in the Industrial area will be sent to the Planning Commission for` their comments and recommendations. Bonds Mr. Holtom, of Wilson, Harzfeld, Jones & Morton, advised the City Council that three new assessmebbs are scheduled for subdivisions 10-11-12B, and will eventually extend through subdivision 19B. The bonds will be approximately $2,100 per lot, with 11 Act Bonds and 13 Act preceedings. May 6. 1963 (cont) Fire Truck Mr® Wiggins, Director of public works, was asked to work the Mro Hudisq City hagineerg to design a temporary 30t x 241 building near Well //2 to house the fire truck until the safety building is ready® Upon motion by Councilman Callinan, seconded by Councilman Foust, and unanimously approved, Mir. Wiggins was authorized to change the water line at Well §-2, connecting the water to the main instead of directly to the tank, before the gravel is added for the temporary fire truck building. Subs 13-17B 'Upon motion by Councilman Buchanant seconded by Councilman Foust' and 7,_ unanimously approved, improvement plans for Subdivisions 1, 177 were approved, However, no permits will be issued vntil Beverly Drive has been completed, well /A Upon motion by Councilman Foust, seconded by Councilman Callinan and unanimously approved, Mr. Hudis was authorized to arrange drainage easements from the developers to Santa Barbara Drive from Well site #4 and the adjacent property® This would be a 41 strip between lots for a future cement valley drain to be installed when the area is developed. Ebtimated cost - $300.00o Sewer Plant Mr. Maxwell, City Attorney, was asked to check the Sewer Plant permit issued by Sonoma County regarding the limit of expanding the sewer plant facilities. Work will be hbld up on the Sewer Plant expansion study until the new City Administrator can coordinate the study. Neighborhood B Mr. Maxwell, City Attorney, was requested to work up a proposal for Park the purchase or lease of the Park area in Neighborhood B& Upon motion by Councilman Callinan, seconded by Councilman Buchanan, and unanimously approved,, the City Council is in favor of the Boys Club purchasing one acre of the park area, upon approval of the Recreation Commission®
