The Council of the City of Rohnert -Park met this date in special
session at 8':00 pm. .atthe City Office, 435 Southwest Blvd.,
Rohnert Park, with Mayor Sm3'th "pr'esiding.

11811 Park Dr. Davis, chairman of tl e `Recreation' Commission..: introduced the
general plan of the Recreati°oii - Co=ission for, the :-development of
the Park in Neighborhood "B ". Mr. Golis pointed out that the
City Council - had..apprQved the preliminary phases of each project,
and the Recreation Commission was now presenting the complete
plan as approved by them.`'
Dr. Davis stated that�the Recreation Commission was requesting
that the City Council, through a non -prof. t• corporation, purchase
and obtain the facilities in Neighborhood "B" Park, to solidify
the agreement with Carl Hanauer and Co. for the lease -back to the
City, and that Rapp Construction Co. be authorized to proceed
with construction.
Dr. Davis further stated that the cost as proposed by Rapp Con-
struction Co. was $69,789, and included the following:
Grading of the entire park
Water line through the park
Swimming pool
Bath house
Parking lots
Baseball diamond
Back stop
Sprinkler system for baseball field.
General discussion with Mr. Anderson and Mr. Rapp of Rapp Con-
struction Co. was held.
Motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Foust
to approve the recommendations of the Recreation Commission.
Motion was defeated by the following vote: AYES: (2) Bell, Foust.
NOES: (2) Rogers, Smith. ABSENT: (1) Buchanan.
Upon motion by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Foust and
unanimously approved, the Council approved the recommendations
of the Recreation Commission subject to the approval of legal
counsel.
Equipment Dr. Davis and Mr. Harris of the Rohnert Park Recreation Associa-
tion outlined the Association's proposed baseball program and
requested financial assistance from the Council for equipment and
uniforms, in the amount of $1400. This would supply equipment
for the approximately 200 youngsters who will participate in the
program.
Upon motion by Councilman Rogers, seconded by Councilman Bell and
unanimously approved, $1400 was authorized for the Recreation
