G. &Z, respresentatives. Army houses. Utility Study Civil Defense League of Calif. Cities Page 3 , 6 April 1964 Upon motion.by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Rogers and unanimously approved, the'City Council waived the service deposit requirement those houses to be leased by the U. S. Army, and.authorized the;.billing for services to those houses leased by the Army .ii:arrears instead of the normal advance billing.` City Manager Callinan submitted a proposal for a Utility Study from Mr. Spencer of R. W.:, Beck &.;Associates. He requested the Council to study the proposal so # ,can.be scheduled for discus - sion further at a future meeting. City Manager Callinan reported on the Civil Defense` program progress reports which have to be made. . He also advised the Council of a mee ang;:on.:l�pr � 15 regarding federal civil defense requirements: Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan,.,seconded by Councilman Foust, and unanimously approved, City., Manager Callinan was authorized to attend the Civil Defense Meeting on April. 15, 1964 in 'Oakland, "being conducted-by the California Disaster Office. City Manager Callinan reminded the Council of the Mayors and Councilmens Institute of the League of California Cities to be held in Santa Monica May 17 -19, 1964. Police Protection Caiy Manage.•Callinan reported to the Council regarding the for Cotati Cotati Study'Group.bn police protection and their discussions with Mr. Callinan and Chief Spinelli. Mr. Callinan was authori- zed to continue negotiations with the group, and submit a pro- posal to them advising them that the Rohnert Park City Gouncil would have no objection to providing service provided that all our costs are covered and that the police service to Rohnert Park and its residents is not diminished. Sub 10- 11 -12 -B General discussion with Mr o Narmarz Spivock -was - held. regarding drainage ditch the drainage ditch at the end of Subdivision 12 -B. Upon motion by Councilman Buchanan, seconded by Councilman Rogers and unanimously approved, the Council reiterated its feeling made at a previous meeting that the City will require a covered culvert within one year, and the drainage ditch will have to be removed at that time. Rose Parade Mrs. Reba Roberts, Chamber of Commerce Rose Parade Chairman, Float reported to the Council on the progress being made to obtain and enter a float in this year's Rose Parade. Upon motion by Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Buchanan and unanimously approved, the Council voted to appropriate $350 to be used by the Chamber of Commerce for the Rose Parade Float with the following stipulations: 1. PUP Hearing Mr: Callinan, City Ma�lager,.reported that the Public i7talities:' Commission hearing on the Wilfred Grade Crossing has been adjourned to April 7th; Hardin Suit City Attorney Maxwell reported'on the status of the Haan `suit m to, date: League Meeting City Manager Callinan requested that the Council members advise him if they plan to.attend the North Bay Division League of California„ Cities ;.Meeting at Travis Air Force -Base.
