April 15, 1980
The Council of the City of Rohnert ,Park met this date
in adjourned regular session commencing at 8:00 p.m. in the
City Offices,,6750;Commerce Boule,,vard, Rohnert Park, with Mayor
Roberts presiding. The adjourned regular session was preceded
by an executive session with, pommenced at 8 :00 p.m. and at which
Councilmen Carbone, Hopkins,,,Rcberts and Stewart, and Councilman-
..Elect Cavalli and City.Manager Callinan were present.
Call to Order Mayor Roberts called the meeting of the adjourned regular session
to order at_ approximately 8 :,15 p.m,
Roll Call Present: (4) Councilmen Carbone, Hopkins, Stewart and Roberts
Absent: (0) None
Others present: City Manager Callinan, staff and guests
Resolution No. 8084:'A RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD IN THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK ON APRIL 8, 1980
City Manager Callinan explained the resolution.
Upon motion of Councilman Carbone, seconded by Councilman
Stewart, and unanimously approved, reading of Resolution No.
80-84 was waived and said resolutidiv was adopted: .
Resolution No. 80 -85 RESOLUTION RESCINDING IN PART AND AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
80 -75 AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF BOND (Rancho Grande Mobile Home
Park Improvements)
City Manager Callinan explained the resolution.
Upon motion of Councilman Carbone, seconded by Councilman
Hopkins, and unanimously approved, reading of Resolution No.
80 -85 was waived and said resolution was adopted.
Oath of Office Deputy City Clerk Faus administered the Oath of Office to
Councilmen -Elect William Cavalli, Warren Hopkins and Arthur
Roberts.
Mayor Roberts expressed appreciation for staff and fellow
Council members.
Councilmen Cavalli, Hopkins and Roberts all commented on their
recent election expressing appreciation to members of the
community and campaign committees.
Mayor Roberts noted that former Councilman Lou Beary and Art
Hollingsworth as well as other dignitaries and city officials
were present in the audience and expressed appreciation for
their attendanos.
Selection of Mayor Upon motion of Councilman Hopkins, seconded by Councilman
Pro- Tempore Cavalli, and unanimously approved, Councilman Carbone was a
appointed by the City Council to serve as Mayor Pro - Tempore
(Vice - Mayor).

Selection of Mayor
Upon motion- of Councilman Hopkins, seconded by Councilman
Cavallig and unanimously approved, Councilman Stewart was
appointed by the City 'Council to serge as Mayor,
Councilman Roberts turned the gavel over to Mayor Stewart.
Mayor Stewart assumed chairing of the meeting and on behalf
of the City Council and citizens of Rohnert Park, presented
outgoing Mayor Roberts with a desk set in of his
service as Mayor.`
Mayor Stewart extended welcome to guests and invited them to
share cake and coffee after the meeting.
Adjournment
There being no further business the meeting was ,adjourned at
approximately 8:20 p.m," to c e and coffee,
