We are a group of concerned parents who are committed to securing playground equipment for our children. Presently, our children do not have access to an outdoor area in which to engage in supervised play or sports. They are being deprived of physical activities that are so vital to the proper development of young minds and bodies. Through countless meetings with parents, teachers, and school officials, we drew up plans, selected the desired equipment, and proceeded with fundraising. The total projected cost of our project is estimated at $6000. This includes $4200 for fencing, $950 for the playground equipment, and $850 for a sandbox and groundcover. To this end, the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District is appropriating $3000, and the Kindergarten Playground rask'Lorce has raised $1200 in fundraising events over the last four months. Although the Taskforce is busy with fundraising -projects, it is slow work. tqe would like to complete this project so our children can use the playground this school year. That would allow us to continue our fundraising efforts so we may purchase playground equipment for the other children at Richard Crane School. Therefore, we are applying for that portion of the Revenue Sharing Funds that will allow us to complete this project, which would be $1800. Thank you for your consideration of our request. Sincerely, 6 u— Kin ergarten Playground Taskforce
