December 5, 1988
The Council of the City of Rohnert Park met this date in adjourned
regular session commencing at 7 :00 p.m. in the City Offices, 6750
Boulevard, Rohnert Park, with Mayor Hopkins presiding.
Call to Order Mayor Hopkins called the regular session to order at approximately
7 :00 p.m. and led the pledge of allegiance.
Roll Call Present: (5) Councilmen Cochran, Eck, Hollingsworth, Lepinski,
and Mayor Hopkins.
Absent: (0)
Staff present for all or part of the meeting: City Manager
Callinan, Director of Administrative Services Netter, City
Attorney Flitner, and Planning Director Skanchy.
Unscheduled Public Mayor Hopkins stated that in compliance with State Law (The Brown
Appearances Act), anyone in the audience who wished to make a comment may do
so at this time.
Resolution No. RESOLUTION DECLARING RESULTS OF CONSOLIDATED GENERAL ELECTION AND
88-232 MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE, CITY OF ROHNERT PARK ON NOVEMBER 8,
1988.
Upon motion by Councilman Hollingsworth, seconded by Councilman
Cochran, and unanimously approved, Resolution No. 232 was adopted.
Expressing
Mayor Hopkins and all Councilmen
expressed appreciation to
Appreciation
Councilman Lepinski for the
fine
service he has given the City
to Mr. Jack Lepinski
Council during, the last two
and one half years. Mr. Lepinski was
presented with a gift of
appreciation from the City by Mayor
Hopkins.
Oath of Office
Secretary Frost administered the
Oath of Office to Councilmembers
Elect Warren Iiopkins, David
Eck,
and Linda Spiro.
Selection of Mayor Upon motion of Councilman Eck, seconded by Councilman Cochran, and
Pro - Tempore unanimously approved, Councilman Hollingsworth was appointed by
the City Council to serve as Mayor Pro - Tempore (Vice- Mayor).
Selection of Mayor Upon motion of Councilman Hollingsworth, seconded by Councilman
Eck, and unanimously approved,, Councilman Cochran was appointed by
the City Council to serve as Mayor.
Councilman Hopkins turned the gavel over to Mayor Cochran.
Mayor Cochran assumed chairmanship of the meeting and expressed
appreciation on behalf of the Council to Councilman Hopkins and
presented him with a burl clock from the city in appreciation of
his service as Mayor.
