A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
APPROVING
CHANGING STREET NAMES OF CITY HALL DRIVE AND PADRE PARKWAY
TO CITY CENTER DRIVE
WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Rohnert Park did hold a duly noticed public
hearing on October 25, .2005 to consider the renaming of the public streets known as "City Hall
Drive" and "Padre Parkway ", and
WHEREAS, the areas of City Hall Drive and Padre Parkway to be renamed are shown on
attached exhibits, and
WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Rohnert Park did hold a public hearing to
consider the renaming of the above mentioned streets, and
WHEREAS, the city council of the City of Rohnert Park after conduction of a public
hearing on the matter finds that:
I. That the street name "City Hall Drive" and "Padre Parkway" is no longer appropriate for
said road.
2. That the name "City Hall Drive" does not serve to identify the location of City Hall.
3. That it is in the public interest to change the name of the streets.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert
Park that it does hereby authorize and approve that the streets presently named "City Hall Drive"
and " Padre Parkway" be renamed and designated as "City Center Drive ".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to forward documents pertaining to same for and on behalf of the City of Rohnert Park to the
County Clerk and County Surveyor offices.
DULY AND REGULARLY ADOPTED this date of October 25, 2005.
