A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
Honoring and Expressing Appreciation to
i CATHERINE ISETT
Cultural Arts Commissioner
FOR HER DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park wishes to express its gratitude and
appreciation to Catherine Isett who freely gave her time and her talents for over five years as she
served on the Cultural Arts Commission; and
WHEREAS, in October of 2000, nominated by then Vice -Mayor Mackenzie, Catherine took the
Oath of Office as Commissioner; and
WHEREAS, Catherine's accomplishments are impressive. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in
Fine Arts. She is a member and docent in the Sonoma County Opera Guild, a sustaining
member of the Napa / Sonoma Junior League, former Board Member of the Rohnert Park
Orchestra Sonoma and former President of the Rohnert Park Orchestra Guild, she brings opera
into the schools via the Opera al la Carte program and has always been a patron of the arts
including the Spreckles Performing Arts Center; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Isett holds a strong interest in most of the arts such as symphony,
painting, sculpture, ballet, and theatre. Her desire is to see all of these increase and thrive in
Rohnert Park; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park that
it hereby honors Catherine Isett for her selfless dedication to the Arts. We collectively and
individually send our best wishes with her as she moves closer to family knowing that wherever
she goes, she will bring talented and willing hands to another fortunate community.
