A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK
ENDORSING AND PRIORITIZING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2004 -2005
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING
WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program was created to
develop viable communities and primarily benefit lower income persons; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rohnert Park participates in the Sonoma County Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) program; and
WHEREAS, Sonoma County CDBG Policies require that housing set -aside applications
receive endorsement from the jurisdiction in which the development is located and the jurisdiction
understands that if funding is allocated to the development, it will be ineligible to receive funding
from the remainder of the cities' CDBG allocation in the same fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, there are four proposed CDBG projects that would be located in Rohnert Park
titled: City Hall Drive Housing Project (The Arbors); Burton Avenue Recreation Center ADA
Improvements; CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Grant Program; and Sidewalk Wheelchair Access
Ramps, Phase IV; and
WHEREAS, according to the project review and approval process, the City Council has an
opportunity to identify its priorities among those projects that would be located in Rohnert Park.
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park Endorses the City
Council CDBG 2004 -2005 project housing set -aside application submitted by Burbank Housing
Development Corporation for the following project in Rohnert Park:
405 City Hall Drive - The Arbors - $300,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED if the above set -aside funding is not awarded to the City of
Rohnert Park, the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park designates the priority of the 2004-
2005 CDBG Application projects for Rohnert Parks as follows:
1. Burton Avenue Recreation Center ADA Improvements - $248,000
2. 405 City Hall Drive - The Arbors - $300,000
3. City of Rohnert Park CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Grant Program - $125,000
4. Sidewalk Access Ramps, Phase IV - $210,000

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City
Manager or his designee to adjust the priority, especially for the contingency projects based on
new information submitted prior to the decision of the Technical Advisory Committee meeting
scheduled in March 2004.
