A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARK, CALIFORNIA,
FORMING A
GENERAL PLAN IMPLEMENTATION OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE
OF TWO MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, on September 8, 1998, the City Council established the Ad Hoc General
Plan Oversight Committee consisting of two members of the City Council and two members of
the Planning Commission.
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Ad Hoc General Plan Oversight Committee was to
oversee the selection of a General Plan consultant and preparation of a General Plan Update
work program as well as to assist with the conduct of the General Plan, Public Participation
program and /or events and oversee the preparation of the draft General Plan and EIR.
WHEREAS, on July 25, 2000, the City Council approved Resolution No. 2000 -152
adopting the Rohnert Park General Plan 2000.
WHEREAS, on January 9, 2001, it was the consensus of the City Council that the two
City Council members continue as the General Plan Implementation Oversight Committee.
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified the need to formally appoint a General Plan
Implementation Oversight Committee and to outline a new set of tasks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rohnert
Park that a General Plan Implementation Oversight Committee is hereby created, consisting of
two members of the City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park that
the General Plan Implementation Oversight Committee will undertake the General Plan
Implementation Tasks, as listed in Exhibit 1 which is hereby made a part of this Resolution, and
such other tasks necessary, as assigned by the City Council, to oversee the implementation of the
General Plan.

General Plan Implementation Tasks
General Plan Implementation Oversight Committee
1. At an applicant's option, meet to review and provide feedback to the full City Council on
projects that differ significantly from current General Plan programs and policies.
2. At the request of the City Council or staff, meet to review and provide comment on issues
pertaining to the implementation of the General Plan.
3. Meet to consider and provide a recommendation to the City Council on the allocation of
units under the Growth Management Program.
4. At the first full City Council meeting following each meeting of the General Plan
Implementation Oversight Committee, report to the City Council on issues discussed and
actions recommended at that meeting.
