RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
FURNITURE AND FIXTURES FOR THE NEW LIBRARY THROUGH THE
UTILIZATION OF GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT PROGRAMS
WHEREAS, since 1991 the City Council has endorsed the City's participation in countywide,
statewide and nationwide government procurement programs; and
WHEREAS, said programs, which are established through bids or negotiations, provide volume
discounts on products and services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rohnert Park can jointly participate in these programs with the lead
public agencies authorization; and
WHEREAS, participating in these joint ventures has saved the City of Rohnert Park thousands
upon thousands of taxpayers' dollars over the years; and
WHEREAS, the furniture and fixtures for the new library can be purchased through various
government procurement programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Rohnert Park hereby
authorize the City Manager to handle all details and execute any and all documents relative to the purchase
of furniture and fixtures for the new Library.
