A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVING A CONSULTANT
AGREEMENT WITH ROYSTON, HANAMOTO, ALLEY & ABEY FOR THE
COMMUNITY FIELDS PARK CONCEPT PLAN
WHEREAS, the city is interested in planning parks and recreation uses of a
potential 50+ acre park site for use as a Community Fields Park, and
WHEREAS, it is the requirement of the Sonoma County Agricultural
Preservation and Open Space District that a conceptual plan be presented by the city for
consideration before they would consider purchasing the land to meet their goals and the
city's goals of providing additional sports fields and open space for the community, and
WHEREAS, to determine the types of facilities that would fit onto a property of
approximately 50 acres or more meeting all necessary design and planning requirements,
it is necessary to procure professional landscape architectural services,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rohnert Park that it does
hereby authorize and approve a consultant agreement with Royston, Hanamoto, Alley &
Abey to produce a conceptual design for the Community Fields Park.
DULY AND REGULARLY ADOPTED this 12"' day of November, 2002.
