If feasible, I would welcome the participation of the Rohnert Park Police Department in this worthwhile venture. Should you elect to do so, funding in the amount of $2,536 would be made available to the Cotati Police Department. The first phase of the grant ends on September 30, 2003. The second phase, which consists of $773, starts October 1, 2003 and ends December 31, 2003. I should add that grant funds for your agency would be used to remove (arrest) intoxicated drivers. More information about the grant is forthcoming, and there will likely be a few meetings with members of the OTS staff prior to the grant's implementation. Recently, Lt. Mark Lincoln spoke with Sgt. Dave Welsh regarding a needed "Resolution" from the Rohnert Park City Council. This is a necessary OTS requirement for county or city law enforcement participation. It would be helpful if this resolution were passed as soon as possible and a copy sent to our office for processing. Thank you for your interest and assistance. In the interim, If you have and questions or concerns, please feel free to call Lieutenant Mark Lincoln or Sergeant John Gray at (707) 588 -1400. Sincerely, L. C.
