1971/02/01 City Council Resolution (4)RESOLUTION NO. 71 -12 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING HOLIDAYS FOR CITY OFFICES AND EMPLOYEES IT IS RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Rohnert Park that the following days and dates shall be holidays for City Offices and City employees except where inconsistent with the continuance of essential public services including, but not limited to, police and fire protection: (a) Every Saturday and Sunday (b) January lst (c) February 12th, known as "Lincoln Day" (d) The third Monday in February (e) The last Monday in May (f) July 4th (g) First Monday in September (h) September 9th, known as "Admission Day" (i) The second Monday in October, known as "Columbus Day" (j) The fourth Monday in October, known as "Veteran's Day" (k) Thanksgiving Day (1) December 25th (m) Good Friday from 12 noon until 3 p.m. (n) Every day on which an election is held throughout the state (o) Every day appointed by the President, Governor, or Mayor, for a public fast, thanksgiving, or holiday (p) If January 1st, February 12th, July 4th, September 9th, or December 25th fall upon a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday. If any of these dates fall upon a Saturday, the preceding Friday is a holiday. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all previous action concerning holidays is hereby repealed insofar as said action is inconsistent herewith. DULY AND REGULARLY adopted this 1st day of February, 1971.
