RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF PETITION TO ANNE! PROPERTY TO
COTATI ELEMENTARY AND PETALUMA HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICTS
WHEREAS, the City of Rohnert Park is presently
located in two different elementary and high school districts,
with the southern portion of the City, including all of its
Present residential development, located in the Cotati Elemen-
tary and Petaluma High School Districts; and
WHEREAS, those portions of the City of Rohnert
Park which are planned for industrial uses and on which indus-
trial uses are now located are situated in the Bellevue hlemen-
tary and Santa Rosa High School Districts; and
WHEREAS, Cotati Elementary and Petaluma High
School Districts maintain schools within the city limits of
Rohnert Park; and
WHEREAS, neither Bellevue Elementary nor Santa
Rosa High School Districts maintain schools within the city
limits of Rohnert Park; and
WHEREAS, the Cotati Elementary and Petaluma High
School Districts can best serve the present and anticipated
future needs of all the citizens of the entire City of Rohnert
Park; and
WHEREAS, it is to the best interest of the citizens
and landowners of Rohnert Park that the entire city limits be
within one elementary and high school district.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the ROHNERT
PARK CITY COUNCIL whole - heartedly supports and endorses the
petition pending before the Cotati Elementary School District
to transfer to the Cotati Elementary and Petaluma High School
Districts all property situated within the incorporated city
limits of the City of Rohnert Park presently outside said school
districts.
