Funds for this purpose are now available. Request for Allocation of Funds Page - 2 8e The City of Rohnert Park has not had any expenditures for crossing protection during the last three fiscal years, and has $15,000 budgeted or otherwise available during the present fiscal year. 9. The need for this additional crossing protection is indicated due to the increased traffic on Golf Course Drive as a result of the City converting the golf course to a municipal course. The widening of Golf Course Drive and the construction of Golf Course Drive west of the railroad have contributed to increase traffic. The protection is an absolute requirement at this crossing because of the poor visability along the tracks to the north caused by an existing service station building and US 101 Freeway Overpass structure. loo Settlement of the claim from Northwestern Pacific Railroad Company for payment of the City of Rohnert Park's share of the installation costs will be made as soon as the claim is received from the railroad company.
