RESOLUTION URGING THE CONTINUED OPERATION OF
THE SANTA ROSA CAL -VET LOAN OFFICE
WHEREAS the City of Rohnert Park has received an indi-
cation that consideration is being given to the closing of the
Santa Rosa Office of the State Department of Veterans' Affairs,
Cal -Vet Loan Office", and
WHEREAS this office provides needed service to this
area's applicants under the Cal -Vet program; and
WHEREAS recent authorization by the electorate and
legislature will result in an expanded Cal -Vet Loan program in
the Stated and
WHEREAS the expanded program can anticipate increased
activity throughout the State at Cal -Vet Loan offices; and
WHEREAS to move the Santa Rosa office to Sacramento
or some other location would cause inconvenience to Sonoma
County citizens and applicants under Cal -Vet Loan program; and
WHEREAS the Cal -Vet Loan program is a self- sustaining
program with the cost of the administration district offices not
a charge to the State General Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Rohnert Park that the State Department of Veterans'
Affairs is urged to continue the operation of the Santa Rosa Cal-
Vet Loan Office.
BE I`1' FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be sent to the other incorporated cities in the County of Sonoma
and their Chambers of Commerce to solicit their support in keep-
ing the Santa Rosa Cal --Vet Loan Office in operation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution
be sent to Governor Reagan, Senator Collier, Assemblymen Bagley
and Belotti; and that their support of this resolution be requested.

RESOLUTION NO. 68 -128
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF APPLICATION WITH THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, UNITED
STATES OF AMERCA, FOR A GRANT UNDER P.L. 89 -117.
WHEREAS, pursuant to P.L. 89 -117 the United States of
America has authorized the making of grants to public bodies
of aid in financing the construction of basic water and sewer
projects:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Rohnert Park, that the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized
to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of Rohnert
Park with the Department of Housing and Urban Development, United
States Government, for a grant to aid in financing the construc-
tion of a water storage facility, and a water well together with
its pump and pressure tank, and an assurance of compliance with
the Department of Housing and Urban Development regulations that
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Arthur N. Roberts, Mayor, be
and he is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such infor-
mation as the Department of Housing and Urban Development may
reasonably request in connection with the application which is
herein authorized to be filed.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND RATIFYING THE
INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS
IT IS RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Rohnert Park
that the following stop signs are hereby authorized and approved
and where said signs have heretofore been installed, said action
is hereby ratified and approved:

On Transport Avenue at the
Commerce Boulevard
intersection.
2.
On Industrial Court at the
Commerce Boulevard
intersection.
3.
On Golf Course Drive at the
northern junction
on the Wilfred Avenue northbound
Off -On Ramp
from US 101.
