A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING BEST WISHES TO LES CLARK
ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Rohnert. Park has been made aware of the
fact that Cloverdale City Manager Les Clark is resigning from that "cushy"
position; and
WHEREAS, Rohnert Park officials have enjoyed relations with Les since he
became the Cloverdale City Manager in July 1986; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his all too brief service in Cloverdale, Les has an
oustanding record of service in other California communities; to wit, Half Moon
Bay and Eureka; and
WHEREAS, Les has always impressed Rohnert Park officials with his "show me"
attitude, which was easy to accept since it was learned that he was born in Harry
Truman's hometown of Independence, Missouri; and
WHEREAS, although Les has a long record of accomplishments since he became
FEW the Cloverdale City Manager, it is regretable that he was not able to lure to
ME Ems
that town a restaurant large enough in which to hold his retirement dinner; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Rohnert: Park has thoroughly enjoyed its
working relationship with Les during the past few years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Rohnert Park
that it does hereby congratulate and commend Les Clark for surviving the torment
and turmoils of the City Manager position and growing into retirement age.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that best wishes are hereby extended to Les and his
gracious wife, Ellie, for many years of happy, healthy, and well deserved
retirement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of thiis resolution be appropriately
prepared and presented to Mr. Les Clark as evidence of the high )esteem in which
he is held by the officials and citizens of the City of Rohnert Park.
