A RESOLUTION RATIFYING EXTENSION OF BID DATE FOR PHASE I
IMPROVEMENTS - CODDING CENTER - SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER
PROJECT NO. 1988 -23
WHEREAS, a call for bids for the Phase I Improvements Codding Center, Senior
Citizens Center, Project No. 1988-23, was authorized by City Council Resolution
No. 90 -53 on March 13, 1990 with bids to be opened on April 16, 1990; and
WHEREAS, due to the Easter holiday reducing the available time to prepare
bids; and
WHEREAS, contractors interested in bidding have regeusted an extended bid
date due to the reduced time caused by the Easter holiday; and
WHEREAS, the project architect, Whitson Associates, recommends that due to
the Easter holiday the bid opening date be extended to 2:00 P.M. April 19, 1990;
and
WHEREAS, due to the reduced available time for preparing bids the City
Manager and City Engineer recommend that it is in the best interest of the public
to provide sufficient time for bid preparation recommend that the bid date be
extended to 2:00 P.M. April 19, 1990; and
WHEREAS, the architect, Whitson Associates, has properly notified and mailed
to all holders plans and specifications Addendum No. 1 which extended the time to
receive bids from 2:00 P.M. on April 16, 1990 to 2:00 P.M. on April 19, 1990; and
WHEREAS, based upon the aforementioned recommendations it appears that the
extension of bidding date to April 19, 1990 is sufficient to provide available
time for adequate bid preparation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Rohnert Park
that the extension of the bid opening date for the Phase I Codding Center, Senior
Citizens Center, Project No. 1988 -23 from 2:00 P.M. April 16, 1990 to 2:00 P.M.
April 19, 1990 is hereby ratified and approved.
