EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Planning and implementing fundraising objectives and strategies in creating and sustaining the Capital Endowment Campaign; writing, producing and disseminating fundraising literature and related materials; works with Marketing Director to coordinate and create public relations and publicity campaigns; grant preparation and writing; generate foundation and corporate support; supervise staff and volunteers regarding development activities; work cooperatively with community and civic leaders; represents the Director of the Performing Arts Center with community groups and other agencies as delegated; operates office equipment. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Possession of an appropriate California driver's license issued by the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: Arts marketing and sales; Written and oral communication and sales; Advertising and publicity; Graphics and printing; Fundraising and development; Performing arts; Administration and budgets; Community support development; Foundation /corporate grantwriting. and Ability to: Develop and maintain effective community and business relationships and promote and maintain high - profile image of Arts Center and its activities; Plan, organize and implement fundraising campaigns, special events, speaker's bureau, community outreach programs; Establish programs within budget utilizing effectively all allocated funds; Establish and maintain cooperative and beneficial working relationships. and Training and Experience: Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Degree in Business, Arts Administration, Theatre, Communications, Marketing or five years of proven and relevant experience; three years experience in Fundraising.
