,71NDING BAIL SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, the Sonoma County Municipal Court has requested the City of Rohnert
Park to approve a Bail Schedule for offences involving a violation of provisions of
the Rohnert Park Minicipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has caused a proposed Bail Schedule to be prepared;
and
WHEREAS, the original Bail Schedule was adopted by Resolution No. 86-132 by the
City Council in August of 1986; and
WHEREAS, the original Bail Schedule was amended by Resolution No. 87-50 in
March of 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rohnert Park periodically reviews its Bail Schedule and
the Bail Schedule was last reviewed in lurch of 1987; and
Wiff-MEAS, the Bail Schedule has been review-ad by the City Manager, the City
Attorney, the Director of Public Safety and other staff meters of which the areas
of violation may pertain; and
WHEREAS, based on this review, it has been determined that the fines assessed
for many of the Mziicipal Code violations are outdated, low in charge and do not
represent a reasonable penalty for such violations; and
WTEPEMS, based on this review certain amendrwnts to the Bail Schedule have been
reconrended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Rohnert Park that
the Bail Schedule as shown in Exhibit A dated December the 11th, 1990 attached to
this resolution be and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Bail Schedule approved by this resolution will
supercede and replace the Bail Schedule as approved by Resolution No. 86-132 as
amended by Resolution No. 87-50.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bail or any offence not specifically described
herein shall be fifteen dollars ($15.00).
