1992/06/23 City Council Resolution (12)RESOLUTION NO. 92- 105 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ROHNERT PARR AMENDING SEWER SERVICE CONNECTION FEES WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Rohnert Park did, on the 21st day of April, 1975, adopt Ordinance No. 267 of said City; and WHEREAS, Section 10 of said Ordinance No. 267 does provide that connection fees are authorized; and WHEREAS, the City, by Resolution 86 -21, imposed sewer service connection fees which are in addition to the City's per acre for development fees, water connection fees, capital outlay fund charges and other normal fees; and WHEREAS, the City is a participant in a sub - regional wastewater treatment facility operated by the City of Santa Rosa called the "Santa Rosa Subregional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System "; and WHEREAS, Rohnert Park must share in the costs of capital improvements to said subregional system based upon its percentage share as determined; and WHEREAS, the eventual long -term subregional sewer solution will involve substantial financial resources to be committed by the participating agencies; and WHEREAS, the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing on June 23, 1992 concerning the proposed increase in sewer service connection fees and has taken into consideration the comments received; and WHEREAS, the Council finds and determines that appropriate connection fees must be levied to enable the City to finance its participation in the Santa Rosa Subregional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal System and to pay for the City's share of the necessary improvements; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to levy an appropriate connection fee for sewerage disposal service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Rohnert Park that effective June 24, 1992, the following sewer service connection fees are established: 1. Single Family Homes 2. Mobile Homes 3. Each Multi- Family Unit 4. Each Commercial or Industrial Establishment $5,250 $3,150 $4,400 An amount based on a rate of $25.00 per gallon of average daily dry weather flow, wherein such average daily dry weather flow shall be determined by the City Engineer for each establishment. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said fees shall be due and payable at the time a building permit is issued, or in the case of a mobile home, prior to the mobile home being installed on the mobile home park pad. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall take effect June 24, 1992 on which date Resolution No. 91 -151 is hereby repealed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the fees imposed by this resolution are in addition to the City's per acre for development fee, water connection fees, capital outlay fund charges, and other normal fees.
